Whereas a few years ago it was mainly the bicycles that dominated the streets, nowadays people use scooters alongside the bikes (thousands of crosses running through the streets).
DAY 10: HCM - HALF DAY EXCURSION CU CHI TUNNELS
Today you will go with your guide. Very early, to the Cu Chi tunnels, then it is still quiet. The famous Cu Chi tunnels are located near the town of Cu Chi, about 35 km. northwest of Saigon. During the notorious Vietnam War these served as a hiding place for the Vietcong. The tunnels are about 250 km together. long and are on different levels. It is extremely interesting to pay a visit to this defensive stronghold. You can also enter it, in a section that is somewhat wider and higher than was originally the case (in connection with the larger western dimensions). It is unbelievable what has been achieved there. The entrances were not visible; you will experience that when you walk with a guide. You walk over such an entrance; the guide slides away some sand and a hatch appears, where the slender Vietnamese disappear. After the excursion you will be returned to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
Includes: Breakfast + transfer by private car/van + tour guide +Hotel room

Morning breakfast at hotel and you will be picked up at your hotel and drive south for 3 hours to the most fertile part of Vietnam, the Mekong Delta, a labyrinth of rivers and canals, with hundreds of large and small islands. It is a beautiful area. Boats are crawling on the water, trade is being done, it is colorful, vibrant and fascinating. Upon arrival in Cai Be you will pass a beautiful Cao Dai church, nice to look inside. At the quay you get on a motorized boat with chairs and sail the tributary of the Mekong. Your local guide will tell you interesting things about life in the delta. You visit a company where different crafts are presented. Typical Asian sweets are made here and rice wine is made. Of course you can also taste it, have you ever tried a sip of snake wine? Further, on you sail between the trading boats through this is the floating market of Cai Be. Because it is already later in the day it is not so busy anymore unfortunately. The smaller channels between the islands in the river are also very nice, it is unbelievable that people live here. Along the shore you see people cycling on the narrow roads, here no cars can come so it is very quiet. You will also visit a few family houses and lunch is also available at one of the houses. This includes the program and is prepared for you (fish), there is no choice menu. To complete the visit you will be rowed for a while in an original boat. Then you leave the islands and sail to the port in Vinh Long. Afternoon transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City flight to Siem Reap Cambodia ( driver only) - Arrival for checkin O/N in Siem Reap
